More renovation accounts!

Renovating the Beau Chateau - Follow this American couple - a UC Berkeley graduate in Agriculture, and a US Air Force Veteran -  as they renovate a truly once-in-a-lifetime property. This beautiful Château includes a 16th-century chateau, with a 500-year-old medieval dungeon, hunters lodge, 18th-century farmhouse, 28 horse stables, and a large forest with two lakes.

They even threw a Netflix’s Bridgerton style ball at the Chateau this month. Check it out.

👻 Some dude and his dog renovating ghost towns in Portugal: well, the title says it all. Jasper, together with his dogs Zoey & Akira, bought properties in a ghost town. Each week, Jasper uploads exhaustive videos showing the step-by-step renovation. The project is still early on!

You can follow for live updates. We love this account especially as he gets really practical - even going into the temporary set-up he built for himself during the project.

🍋 What have they done? Let’s get out of our usual southern escapes and visit two “Accidental Renovators” Cal and Clare in Scotland. Somehow (and I haven’t quite gotten to the bottom of this story), they accidentally bought the Jameswood Villa - a derelict Victorian that had lay empty for nearly 30 years.

And so when life gives you lemons, you renovate it.

You can already book a night at the Jameswood Villa! And of course, follow them on Instagram:
